Accessibility tools

Microsoft and Mac operating systems have built-in accessibility tools which enables users to customise the settings to better meet their individual needs, for example:

  • magnifier tool to increase the size of the screen
  • narrator tool to read the information displayed on the screen
  • on screen keyboard to enable the user to select keyboard options using the mouse or touch pad
  • speech recognition software (text to speech) to automatically transfer speech to text.
