About SET

At the Society for Education and Training (SET), we are dedicated to improving the careers of our members and raising the standard and reputation of post-14 education teaching and training.

We are part of the Education Training Foundation (ETF), and are the only membership body dedicated to professionals within further education, vocational teaching and training.

Our mission is to champion the quality and professionalism of teaching and training across post-14 education, and encourage those within the sector to become members of SET to help them be the best they can be.

We provide access to online training tools, the latest sector research, expert advice as well as a self-assessment tool for members to track their own development.

We are the only professional body to run Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) status and Advanced Teacher Status (ATS) programmes.

We have over 21,000 members, and counting.

Welcome to SET A message to our members
