Before you begin

Please make sure you have identified the right membership grade for you.

All members of SET are bound by our Conditions of Membership and are required to adhere to our Code of Ethics and Conduct. Please read both in advance and ensure that you have everything you need before completing the online joining form.

We will undertake an audit of all applications received so you may be asked to supply additional information including evidence of the qualifications you hold.

• If you are undertaking an ITE and applying for free student membership, you will need to supply your anticipated completion date.
• For all other membership grades (Affiliate, Associate and Member), you will need details of the teaching qualifications you hold and your payment method.
• If you are applying for Fellowship, please complete your application by phone by calling us on 0800 093 9111 (Mon – Fri, 9.30am to 5pm).

Membership costs from just £80 per year for payments by annual direct debit. Monthly direct debit starts from £6.66 per month.
