QTLS application process

Before you can undertake Professional Formation you need to successfully submit an application by the deadline (30 November).

This window has now closed for 2023.

This requires you to upload certificates and a teaching timetable, get a confirmation of teaching employment and an endorsement from a ‘supporter’. This information can take a few days to gather so we recommend that you allow 5 working days to complete your application.

The application fee is £50. The application fee can either be paid via credit card or via an invoice to your employer. Please note that this fee is non-refundable. If you select invoice to your employer as the payment method, please ensure that you allow sufficient time (5 days+) for your employer to pay to avoid missing the application deadline.

Once payment has been received your application portfolio can be accessed via a pink 'PF APP' button at the top of the SET website when you are logged in to your SET dashboard (see below image). The application portfolio will then open in a new tab.
