Find out all the answers to your questions about what happens when your Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) status results are released.
You will be advised by email of the date your results will be released. Results are released in batches via email between 10am and 4pm on the day the results are released.
If you have been awarded QTLS, you will be notified via email on results day. This email will contain your feedback as an attachment.
If you log into your QTLS portfolio, your home page will have been updated and you will see a new button in the top right hand corner. This new button will allow you to download another copy of your feedback, if required.
Once you have received confirmation of your award, you will be able to request a copy of your certificate, via your via your SET Dashboard. This will be sent to the email address associated with your SET account.
Your formal certificate in hard copy is produced by a third party and will be sent to you approximately 6-8 weeks after award. We can also confirm your status to your employer directly, if necessary.
Please make sure we have your up-to-date address so we can get your certificate to you. You can do this on your SET dashboard, under 'My profile'.
If you have not been successful, you will be notified via email on results day. This email will contain your feedback as an attachment. If you log into your QTLS portfolio, your home page will have been updated and you will see a new button in the top right-hand corner. This new button will allow you to download another copy of your feedback if required.
You will also have the option to resubmit, once you have uploaded the required evidence. Please ensure that you are ready to resubmit before pressing this button.
If you are given a 'Criteria Not Met' result, you have until 5pm on the re-submission deadline (usually six months after the initial results have been released) to resubmit your workbook. You can only resubmit once – this is free of charge. If you are unclear about what revisions you need to make to resubmit, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org to receive clarity on your feedback.
If you do not have a Teacher Reference Number (TRN) and you wish to have one, you will need your employer to contact Teacher’s Pension directly. They will support your employer to create the number and issue it to you.
You will need to remain a member of SET in order to maintain the currency of your QTLS status and its parity with QTS.
