A new online tool for practitioners thinking of becoming an end-point assessor for apprenticeships has been developed as part of the Future Apprenticeships programme.
The CPD self-assessment tool will enable you to:
- Self-assess against the skills, knowledge and experience needed by an end-point assessor.
- Identify your immediate and long-term CPD needs.
- Access support and resources to start your CPD journey.
Sign-up on the Foundation Online website to start using the CPD self assessment tool.
Kick-start your preparations and professional development
The tool is free and encourages you to start your CPD journey by attending one of the three large-scale events taking place in October, December and January for potential end-point assessors.
The events will help you understand what makes a good end-point assessor and features workshop sessions on particular end-point assessment methods and practices. You will also have chance to meet other end-point assessors and understand their requirements.
Future Apprenticeships programme
Future Apprenticeships is funded by the Department for Education (DfE) and commissioned by the Education and Training Foundation (ETF). End-point assessment support under Future Apprenticeships is jointly managed by the Strategic Development Network (SDN) and AELP. The online tool was produced by SDN, with partners Tintisha Technologies.
