The National Sensory Impairment Partnership (NatSIP) is holding an interactive training day for apprenticeship training provider staff to meet the needs of deaf/hearing impaired and vision impaired apprenticeships.
Taking place across one day at two separate venues (17 November in Manchester and 1 December in London), delegates will receive practical information and resources about a range of topics to help them understand more about the barriers and needs of young people with sensory impairments.
The agenda for the day includes a session on policy and legal contexts, reasonable adjustments in training, the workplace, and human support and technology. There will also be a Q&A session on the perspective of apprentices and their employers.
The event costs £50 (reduced to £25 for NatSIP-affiliated organisations) and includes refreshments and lunch.
