Registration is now open for the WorldSkills UK Competition 2019.
The competition is designed to give young students and apprentices the opportunity to hone their technical and vocational skills, by competing against their peers in national and international events. It covers sectors that are key to the UK economy, including construction, digital, engineering and hospitality.
The competitions are judged by experienced industry professionals and the training programme is led by industry-leading managers who shape competitors’ learning and share their world-class knowledge.
Each year, competitors come together at WorldSkills UK LIVE to compete in the national finals and be crowned the UK’s best in their skill. Every two years, competitors have the chance to compete on the world stage at the WorldSkills International Competitions, with the next of these events taking place in Shanghai in 2021.
Competitors can register themselves, or be registered by their employer or college, on the WorldSkills UK website. The deadline to register is Friday 5 April.
