The application window for the next ATS cohort is open, and the deadline for applications is 28th August 2024

If you’re a member of SET and meet the eligibility criteria you can apply for ATS. There is one application process per year, opening in early April and closing mid-September.

 

You'll also need to upload the following documentation to support your application:

  • Your CV
  • Endorsement from a senior manager (see application form)
  • A documented professional discussion with a line manager (see application form)
  • A copy of your current teaching timetable - highlighting your access to a minimum of 320 hours post-14 group teaching (5 or more learners) for the duration of the programme 
  • A copy of your Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent certificate
  • A copy of your subject specialism qualification certificate at Level 3 or above for the main subject/s that you will be teaching for the period of the ATS programme

 

If you teach discrete maths or English:

  • A copy of your Level 3 or above qualification certificate/s

 

If you have not previously achieved QTLS:

  • A copy of your Level 2 or above English and maths qualifications

What to expect after you apply

We aim to provide feedback on your application within eight weeks and each application is reviewed by a panel at the Education and Training Foundation (ETF).

Once the application window has closed, all remaining applications will be reviewed during September 2024. Notification of the outcome will be sent to applicants by the end of September. The portfolio will be issued in October 2024 and an introductory webinar will take place shortly after. The process lasts 14 months, so completion will be the end of December 2025.
