Professionalism is central to the mission of the Society for Education and Training (SET). Our goal is to help teachers and trainers develop and improve their skills to enhance their own professional standing, and with it the wider quality and recognition of the education and training system.

We are guided in this by the Professional Standards, which set out clear expectations of effective practice and enable practitioners to identify areas for their own development. By building dual professionalism and expertise, we want to increase the quality of the educational experience for learners, and the ultimate impact on employers and the economy.

As a member of SET, you commit to undertaking continuing professional development (CPD) that has an impact on your practice, each year.
