Professional Standards

Summary:

Just over a year ago, the Education and Training Foundation launched the 2014 Professional Standards. A key message from the consultation on which the Standards were based was that practitioners wanted ownership of their professional development. As a result, we worked closely with a practitioner group to ensure that the twenty standards genuinely resonated with teachers across the sector to be aspirational, as well as developmental.

This webinar focussed on:

  • What the standards are - and are not
  • How the standards have been embedded in professional formation (QTLS)
  • How practitioners, as well as managers, are using the standards
  • Resources to support you that will soon be available through the Foundation

Presenters:

Paul Kessell-Holland, Programme Manager, Professional Standards and Workforce Development, Education and Training Foundation

Tricia Odell, Programme Manager, Professional Standards and Workforce Development, Education and Training Foundation

Jane Martin, Professional Development Manager, Shrewsbury College
