Matching exercise

How to use this resource

This is an individual or paired activity - good as students enter the classroom or as an extension activity if students have finished "set" work and are waiting for others to complete.

For example, floristry: learning the Latin names of flowers/shrubs and so on, but this could be adapted for any subject area.

The source for this activity is unknown but the author of this resource, Sue Rees, has observed this activity being successfully used with students in the 14 to 19 age group in her role as a teacher educator. Sue and has also used this technique with mature students attending adult education classes.

"The Teacher's Toolkit" by Paul Ginnis (ISBN 1899836764) is also another good source for ideas. Your college library should have a copy.
