New date for SET Conference will kickstart the new year

Following the latest series of rail strike announcements, one of which was originally due to take place on Thursday 3 November, the annual SET conference has been postponed from 3 November to Tuesday 17 January 2023. The re-scheduled event will take place at the original venue – the Vox Conference Centre in Birmingham.

Martin Reid, Director of Professionalism and Customer Experience at the ETF, said: “Whilst we are extremely disappointed not to be going ahead as planned with our SET conference in November, we are looking forward to kickstarting the new year with an exciting opportunity to bring together practitioners from across the sector. The decision to postpone was taken after careful consideration, recognising the likely significant travel disruption the strike will have on both delegates and speakers.

“We hope most of the delegates who originally booked for 3 November will be able to make the new date. If they are unable to attend, they can either transfer their ticket to a colleague or request a full refund.”

Those who had booked for 3 November will have their tickets automatically transferred to the new date. Delegates who cannot attend the conference on the new date are able to transfer their ticket to a colleague or claim a refund on SET’s ticket page.

Martin added: “While it is unfortunate that we have had to re-scheduled at short notice, we are looking forward to welcoming delegates to the event, with an agenda packed full of inspirational speakers. We look forward to seeing you there, and to making the most of the fantastic opportunity to connect with colleagues across the sector in person.”
