As your career partner for life, SET membership supports your professional development and career aspirations. There are five different grades of membership – Student, Affiliate, Associate, Member, Fellow – which reflect your career stage. To find out which grade is right for you, check our membership grades.
How to join
Joining is simple and takes just a few minutes. Please read the guidelines below to ensure you have everything you need before completing the online form. Please note, if you are applying for Fellowship, please call us on 0800 093 9111 (Mon – Fri, 9.30am to 5pm) to complete your application by phone.
- If you are undertaking an ITE and applying for free student membership, you will need to supply your anticipated completion date
- For all other membership grades (Affiliate, Associate and Member), you will need details of the teaching qualifications you hold and your payment method
Please note:
- All members of SET are bound by our Conditions of Membership and are required to adhere to our Code of Ethics and Conduct.
- We will undertake an audit of all applications received so you may be asked to supply additional information including evidence of the qualifications you hold.
