Society for Education and Training (SET) members who have successfully completed Advanced Teacher Status (ATS), our badge of advanced professionalism in further education and training, will now be added to the Professional Status register.
Previously titled the ‘QTLS Register’, the Professional Status register is a list of SET members who have successfully completed professional formation and achieved Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) status, followed by our most prestigious status, ATS.
What is a Professional Status register?
Our Professional Status register shows the names of all current SET members who have completed QTLS and/or ATS – the badges of professionalism and status in the further education, skills and training sectors.
To use the Professional Status register, you can search by membership number or surname, or use the additional filters of membership grade and professional status type. SET members need to keep up to date with their SET membership in order for their name to remain on the register.
Director of SET, Martin Reid, said: “We are pleased to announce that this latest overhaul to the list has been completed and anyone who successfully undertakes ATS will now be added to the register. It is an essential tool to demonstrate that you have successfully undertaken both QTLS and ATS, as well as a point of reference for ensuring and promoting the professional status of teachers and trainers across the sector who are committed to undertaking continuing professional development (CPD) annually and adhere to the Code of Professional Practice.”
