The Society for Education and Training (SET) offers a range of continuing professional development (CPD) programmes to support you throughout your career.

Follow the links below to register on a professional development programme to suit you. Eligibility criteria apply. These programmes are only open to SET members.

Professional formation leading to QTLS

Professional formation is a process that enables you to demonstrate the effective use of skills and knowledge in your professional practice that is required to achieve the professional status of Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).

SET's recognition route leading to QTLS

SET's recognition route is available to individuals with substantial teaching experience but who do not hold a recognised teaching qualification that is required to apply for Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).

Overseas route leading to QTLS

The process is designed for those teachers, currently employed in England, who already hold an overseas ITT qualification and are able to evidence their current teaching practice against the requirements established through professional standards.
