Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) is a professional status that you can gain by successfully completing professional formation.
Members who have successfully completed professional formation and achieved Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) status and have remained in good standing by completing effective continuing professional development (CPD) annually and adhering to the Code of professional practice can:
- be added to the professional status register
- use the designatory letters 'QTLS'
- use the QTLS logo
- print a copy of their QTLS certificate.
Using the QTLS logo and designatory letters is a simple and effective way to promote your professional status.
QTLS professional status register
Being on the professional register is a mark of up-to-date, experienced professionals, benefiting the individual, and the further education and skills sector as a whole, as it shows the dedication and high status of teachers and trainers.
Members opt in to be on the professional status register when applying for QTLS. If you have not opted in at the point of application, you can be added to the register by emailing us with your name and membership number.
