Guides for supporting learners with specific needs available on the SEND website

Building on the success of the Education and Training Foundation’s (ETF) training programmes on supporting learners with autism, dyslexia and hearing loss, reference guides on these subjects are now available on the SEND specialist site.

The guides provide key learning from our training programmes and include top tips for adapting communication, teaching strategies and environment to enable learners to thrive. They also provide further links to a wide range of resources and CPD training to help staff to increase their knowledge and confidence to embed skills effectively into the support they offer.

To find out more about our awareness courses, you can now view the taster sessions recordings. We are hoping to offer more face-to-face training from April 2019 and you can register your interest in these by visiting the ETF booking system.
